Was able to get most of the green done this weekend. I just need put one more coat on the thighs and lower legs, then it's on to weathering.

I've also started working on my boots under another thread. Now that I'm close to finishing the armor, I need to finish the boots. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Paint looks great!! And I like the tab idea. Very cool.
Suggestion on the gun. Its 55" long and please, please, please do not use the handgrip that is drawn in the prints. Its waaaaaay to big and you will never be able to hold it. I cut it down about .5" to .75".

I had the Hyperfirm DC-15 Long (twice). While VERY cool, it get's to be a pain to carry and to have in a crowd. Sold it off (twice). The DC-15 Short is much easier to work with.
Just my experience.

Re: 442nd WIP
Ok, so it's been a very productive weekend, minus a few issues.
I have all the weathering done on my armor. Man that took a while with the five paint colors I was using. After finishing that I worked on a harness for my thighs and thus is what I came up with.
These work a lot better than buttons and snaps. It gives me a little more security that they will stay connected.
After getting that set, I had to go back and come up with some this better to hold the front half of my belt on. What I did was rip out the snaps I had in before and decided to go with a two prong attack on this. First I used magnets and a metal plate. These worked good, but must not have the angle just right because I'm not getting a real sting connection on the back magnet. With that in mind I added Velcro to help hold it all together.
Just have to finish the knees and I'm done. What is everyone using for the straps on these and the size. I have 1 inch wide white elastic. Will this work, or should it be thicker?

While I admit I don't know much at all about Clonetroopers or their various types, I think this is a cool looking suit. That green is a cool color.

Re: 442nd WIP
Thanks everyone, I had a great time building it. Now it's time to get out and troop. I'm sure I'll find little tweaks my first time out. I already know I'll need to put some fans in the helmet for those hot days. Plus I'll probably get a voice amp/mic so people can hear me outside the helmet.
