Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
So, do you enjoy being miserable?? If so, your going to love being Vader...
Good luck on your build, it will be nice having another sith lord in our garrison. There are soooo many events in your neck of the woods that Vader is much needed. Not enough of us to go around.

ALL of us costume because we like whatever costume we own, not because we actually expect to be comfortable in it.drbones2nd wrote:So, do you enjoy being miserable?? If so, your going to love being Vader...![]()

Also Blew The dust off my old Pair of shin guards back from my convention days

Are these ok? or should I perhaps Go searching for a new pair?
Currently Stitching together the Gimp suit and Gloves Upper Torso is done and working on the bottom when I get over Pneumonia
Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
My suggestion is to post those photos on the Sith Lord Detachment forums (if you haven't already). They would be much better able to say what's acceptable and what's not.

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
I would say that certain costumes are definetely more uncomfortable than others. Wearing a leather, black body suit, covered by armor and two capes in 90 degree weather is definetely more uncomfortable than a jedi or a TK.
Just ask Eric after he did vader one time at the white caps game last year. His words" never, never, never again!!" lol. He quickly changed back into his TK and never looked back.
To see the look on his face taking off that helmet was priceless...
Now having said that, I do love being vader but if size permitted, I would love to do a TK in conjunction.
Like lumpy stated, sign up with Sith Lord detachment and go to WIP section and post your photos there. Experts there .

I can think of 2 local TKs who are 6’5” range. Unlike every single other Stormtrooper, they get the “Aren’t you a little tall for a Stormtrooper?” line.

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
In reality, I know it can be done, but lets face it, at 6'6" it looks a bit goofy. Especially if I am taller than the vader

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
This is oh, so true.

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
I've have most of the Vader costume that I wear when I do the Darth Gonzo (Complete without bucket and boots). Its the worst costume to wear and I dont wish it on anyone. Wearing a TK is like a bathing suit after wearing Darth in the same day. Buckets off to you Darth costumers.

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
Having trooped over 100 events as both Vader and Chewie - it's not even close!!!! Other than the stilts, my Chewie costume is a snap compared to Vader!!!
All that being said, just know what your getting into!!!

Better than "aren't you a little fat for a stormtrooper?"Mr Fett wrote:I can think of 2 local TKs who are 6’5” range. Unlike every single other Stormtrooper, they get the “Aren’t you a little tall for a Stormtrooper?” line.

also Question to all the Vaders out there which is better for the body suit? one piece or Two Piece?

Re: Sgtsuneded's Vader WIP
I have a two piece but would prefer the one piece. It just looks better. Got mine from custom props and love the material. Make sure to spend a little extra and get the real leather, not the faux crap. It is way more comfortable and breathes.
