The problem with some of the older armor is some members were grandfathered in with the old suits which are now not 501st approved without some major modifications. Personally I would never buy any gear off of Ebay, you can't trust the product you will get. Post up on FISD too to get opinions there. Rip knows his stuff (10 times better than I do ) Trust me, don't buy it. FISD can point you to some good kits and even a few people that do commissions if that is the route you wanted to go. Just know that building your own will give you the best fit possible
I appreciate the info. I had a feeling that armor it would need work when I posted this. I didn't want to post this on bikerscout.net in case it was "decent" and started a bidding war that I can't afford to compete in.
I guess I should save up and do things the right way to start with, and not look for a shortcut.
The Force is with me, and I am one with the Force
Old Rex - 99% (never be truely done)
Commando Rex - 75%
Anovos Classic TK - 66.59%
Didn't realize this till after posting, but ignore what I said about FISD... so used to posting about TK stuff cleary was not thinking. Post up on Pathfinders and I am sure you will see some interesting thoughts
From the pieces I could see, I think you are better off getting a new set. You may save a couple dollars on the ebay set but will spend more time trying to get it acceptable.

I've been staring at Scout armor since October. Well, since I was 4 technically, but I digress...
That's a rough rig. I wonder if it was scratch built. It doesn't look like any I've seen. It would be well worth it to save up a little extra cheddar and start fresh. Also, keep an eye on the trade forum at BS.N. I scored my lid there from another member.
I am 80% sure that is the same armor maker that made my stuff that I got 13 years ago. It is nowhere near good enough to get you into the 501st now, but back when I joined in 07 it passed. I would definitely pass on that set and get something from one of the vendors recommended on Bikerscout.net. I'm in the process of updating all of my stuff now.
