I am almost ready to submit my Scout Trooper and I had a question about the numbers you get assigned when you join the 501st as a TK or TB. (I believe TB is a Biker Scout).
I see the different numbers after the letters and was wondering if it is randomly assigned or can you choose your numbers? I realized that I would really, really, really want the numbers: 311 in there somewhere. (It is my favorite band and my 2nd love along with Star Wars - I have their tattoo on my left shoulder and a Rebel Insignia on my right)
ALSO: I see some with five numbers and some with only four. Since there can't actually be THAT many TK's, I know they don't just go in order. LOL.
If I could choose, I would go with: TB-10311
Any input?

You send in a choice of a couple numbers you want. If your first choice is available its yours if not one of the other ones you listed is your TK id

You can choose your number as long as it is available. (And currently it is.)

Re: Question regarding ones TK or TB #
Your number is your number for life, so I'm 60609.
As a scout, I'm TB60609. If I built a Boba Fett, when wearing that costume I'd be BH60609, a Vader would be SL60609, etc...

All the "four" digit numbers got used up a year or two ago. Everyone is a fiver from here on out...

I joined when there were still 3-digit numbers available.
Andy joined when there were single-digit numbers available.

Re: Question regarding ones TK or TB #
Yep. Back when I joined it was pretty much wide open. We had a couple guys join a year or two after me who were still picking 2 digit numbers because that many were available. Back then, most of us with 3 digit ones picked our birth month and day. Mine originally was like that until 2002 when the amazing record keeping abilities of the 501st realized there was another guy somewhere else with my same number who joined a month before me, so they made me switch mine.
