ANOVOS TK thread

Post by zambam17 »

Hello all,

I didn't see any threads dedicated to the Anovos TK kits we should be receiving in the next few weeks. I thought we could create a place to post when we receive our kits as well as maybe plan any armor parties over the next few months. And for newbies to the TK, they can post questions to help them overcome any obstacles they may encounter.

This will be my 2nd build and REALLY looking forward to the improvements I will be able to make as I complete this new build. My first kit was an FX for the body and an ATA for my helmet.
God Bless,

I've got mine on order and am waiting like everyone else. I've never done this before so I'll be looking for help, both online and in person, to turn a boxed pile of plastic into one of the most iconic memories from my childhood. Hoping it goes well, since I will have to do both a black and a white set. :)

Add me to the club of troopers-to-be waiting anxiously for ANOVOS to start shipping! I sprung for their Black Friday special, so I'm not even looking for the thing until February. I'm really hoping I'll be able to make it work for my 6'4", 230 lb frame. I'm in Holland, Mich., so if any armor parties spring up on the west side, I'll bring beer and pizza! --Jayson :D

We have 2 other troopers around your height. The only thing is they have more black undersuit showing in the joint areas between the armor parts. Besides that, you'll still be a Stormtrooper!

Like just about all the costume builds we do, you want to buy it in kit form and trim the pieces to your body type and them assemble them.

??? You have an ATA kit sitting on your shelf waiting to be built already.

??? You're already a TK.

I guess I'm confused, here. I know Hyper already has 3 clean TK's at home and has an Anovos TK on order as well.

Flash ordered one specifically so he could turn his old TK into a Sandtrooper, and use the fresh armor as a new TK. This makes sense to me. But guys who already have clean TK's getting another clean TK is confusing me.

None of the armor makers do customization. Each maker has a set mold that is used for their armor so you would need to customize it to fit you. That is part of the reason it takes a while to build the suit. If you head over to the FISD forums at whitearmor.net you can find many different TK armor builds that show how customization is done.

Diana's build that can be found at http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/2 ... anh-stunt/ once you get access to the FISD forums, is a good example of customization for a smaller female.

It seems a bit daunting but I wouldn't let it stop you from getting a kit if you are really interested.

Great thread.....EXCEPT for her opening line in the first post:

"I'm Diana. I've never wanted to be Princess Leia. I always wanted to be the stormtrooper that shot Princess Leia."

Well, in that case, then WHY did she put tube stripes on her helmet?

That's so good to hear! I'm feeling more encouraged. At the outset I'll hope to make the Anovos kit work as well as possible, but I'm already in touch with the guy in the UK who makes longer shins (Paul is his name--forgot his handle). I'll actually be visiting the UK this May, so my plan is to bring back the longer shins and improve the look/fit. Can't wait to get going so that I can meet more of you! --Jayson

I also am waiting for my Anovos kit. I have seen posts on FISD about people receiving theirs starting yesterday! Also, some have reported getting shipping confirmations already even though (per the email) they weren't supposed to until feb-march. We may all get them sooner rather than later!

Also as a new TK on the west side I would love for there to be an armor party sometime.
