Why Vader? I was thinking Kylo Ren when Phasma is done.
Also Zark I'm not gun hoe...I'm bored. Nobody expects the bored high schooler! I'm kidding. Sure I'm excited but I'm also at my final height. I haven't grown in 2 years..

He's joking with you because Vader is tall like Phasma....and Kylo...and you said you're 5'2".Phantom Medic wrote:Why Vader? I was thinking Kylo Ren when Phasma is done.

Out of costume, the Vader actor was 6'6" when they filmed the original trilogy, and the actors who play Phasma and Kylo are both 6'3" out of costume.

Oh that's why lol. Maybe I should learn how to walk on stilts
but does anyone know where a kit can be found for Phasma or first order that I could mod?

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build
Zark is right. Your body likely will change shape as you age. You’re 14 now, and it happens to everyone by the time you do your college years in your 20’s and into your 30’s and 40’s,etc. Having an (expensive) armor fit you NOW likely won’t fit you exactly the same way 5 years from now because with entering puberty, your body will grow differently. It’s actually awesome that you’re so pumped up to do this, so start saving your money because at absolute bare minimum, a FO trooper or Phasma set of armor will be $1,000 at rock bottom price. That’s the reality of it. If people really want one of these armors, that’s what all our members had to do to get our costumes…..save our money from our jobs until we had enough to buy what we wanted.

Okay well then. Better upgrade my bank. But I think that ANVOS might have a FO Phasma kit in the works so maybe I can get the beta model

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build
I was 5'0" at 14.
I was 5'8" when I got my license at 16
I was 5'11" when I graduated at 18
So don't assume you're done growing.
Start saving your money and see what strikes your fancy when you get closer to approval age. There will be plenty of movies in between then and now.

My nephew was kind of short for a while too. When he hit 16, he shot up about a foot and a half. Plus he now wears a size 15 shoe!

Yeah but females stop growing 2 years after they hit maturity...which I hit 3 years ago. I know what your saying but I was 5'2 for a while now...but enough of that. So any ideas on when a kit will be available for Phasma?

Okay I was right about ANVOS...
http://www.anovos.com/collections/star- ... -pre-order
But it's not the full suit. Just the helmet. Any ideas where I might find the armor kit?

If I find anything about phasma I can let you know but be warned; and I know this has been said already, phasma will be expensive. If I were you I would save money for the time being.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build
Wow...I'm in for a lot of hours...
Found this website http://www.starfortressproductions.com/ ... opers.html that's selling the armor, cape, blaster, undersuit, and helmet. Unknown on the gloves tho. But man! I did the math.
1,666.99 armor
59.99 cape
459.99 blaster
549.99 helmet
249.99 under-suit
Total=2986.95 (not boots tho)
Minimum wage= 7.25 per hour
Hours needed to reach price= 411.993
Total weeks (at 10 hours a week)= 41.199
And that's assuming it comes fully finished and custom...ugh time to abandon my childhood to get a job. But hey it's all in the name of Star Wars. If you guys can find something cheaper then this please post it here. Until then off to McDonald's! But hey, I was warned.

Star Fortress stuff is junk. But the price point for a Phasma is pretty close.

I'm going to keep looking but this is the only Phasma I know of. Why are they junk? Break easy or not movie accurate?

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma design and build
Not accurate. They have a bad reputation around the Star Wars costuming community, and have had that bad rep for years!
Plus that link is for the normal trooper, and we've already told you before in this thread that there are a number of differences between a Phasma set and a normal trooper set.
There are 2 fans who have sculpted Phasma armor so far. Both are in the $1,500-$2,000 range for the raw kit. Kit form is how all our armor comes. For Phasma, this means you have to size all the armor parts to your body, bondo and sand the seams lines for the armor parts needing to be butt-joined together, dremel out the helmet lens holes and all that stuff, buy all the strapping to assemble it onto your person. Also you will need to sew the cape, buy the boots, undersuit and proper blaster, and then chrome the entire suit.

Yeah okay thanks. FYI Phasma was under the FO trooper kit. You said there was two who built it. Who is the other one?

Both are guys on the Replica Prop Forum. Anovos is the 3rd one who will eventually make a full suit. Theirs will cost the most money.

You're gonna have to join that message board to even see the sale section.
At 5'2", you are the proper height of Leia or Jawas. We have 6 Jawas in our Garrison already. Something along those lines would be thousands of dollars cheaper to build than a Phasma, as well as work well with your height. Just being realistic. But if you think you're dead set on Phasma, then we've given you all the resources we know of in this thread already. Up to you at this point to continue your Phasma costume research because we've told you all we know, with what information is currently available in the costuming community.

I admit that I do not know a lot about that kit. does it come pre-assembled & pre-chromed? if not you have to add the price of chroming on top of those prices
