I'm ballroom dancing to help Children's Hospital- please donate!

For those that don't know, I've been asked to participate in Dancing With the Michigan Stars, a fundraiser benefiting C.S. Mott Children's Hospital this Friday, May 13th. There will be Mott doctors competing against each other, and a group of local celebrities.

My partner is Arzoo Salih, a nursing student who's been professionally dancing for a year. I will be dancing the pasodoble in my Wolverines Trooper armor to the main theme of Star Wars. For the past month, I've been going to dance lessons to perfect our performance. Some days have been 2 hr drive during rush hour (after working 9 hrs), 90 minutes of dance lessons, followed by a 75 min drive home. I've gotten some pretty bad bruises from armor bites- especially once we added the lift at the end.

There's two trophies for each group- judges score and Fan Vote. Tickets to the event are now half off, which includes complimentary valet parking, wine, carving stations, and an evening of entertainment! If you're unable to attend, YOU CAN HELP ME WIN THE FAN VOTE!!

Besides gas and time invested, I had to pay full price for Susie's ticket and rent a tuxedo for this event. We want the guests to see me in armor for the first time when I dance, hence the tux for the beginning of the night.
