First question - what do people use to attach the belt face to the canvas belt? A couple people have suggested Chicago screws, one said jean buttons. Chicago screws seem easier, so that's what a moron like myself needs. What length is best?
Second - when trying the belt on around my armor (which is all attached with snaps and straps, no clamps), it seems it will slide around quite a bit. I do not have the Anovos armor with the snaps built into the abdomen, and I do not want to put them on myself. Has anyone had this issue, and would a velcro patch work to keep the belt from sliding around the armor?

Velcro could work. You could start off with that and maybe upgrade to snaps later.Obi-Ron wrote:First question - what do people use to attach the belt face to the canvas belt? Re: Questions about body armor...
I actually have both snaps and Velcro on mine. The snaps are more towards the side and the velcro was added after this photo on the front and on the back to keep the belt from sliding down.
As for attaching the belt to the canvas, I believe I just used pop rivets with the covers over them. The Chicago screws were used for the holster.
Here is a link to my build thread if it helps.

Re: Questions about body armor...
Thanks, fellas! I am considering just going with velcro for the belt attachment to the body, then like you said, move up to using snaps if necessary.

Just be sure to use heavy duty Velcro. If you're attaching it to the cloth belt you're probably going to be replacing it every once in a while. It usually doesn't stick to the cloth very well.

I have used snaps from the beginning and have not had any issues or needed to replace them. I thing they were very easy to install and very secure.

Thanks! I think I will use snaps. My problem is the armor itself. I am trying to use all snaps and straps, no brackets, and it's very difficult to get everything to line up and hold - between the kidney and abdomen plates.Mayhem75 wrote:I have used snaps from the beginning and have not had any issues or needed to replace them.
