Re: Michigan 501st - CHARITY HISTORY
Just got my update from the USA Hockey guy. He said the jersey auctions made about $8500 and the Chuck-A-Puck and lightsaber sales made $1,373 for a total of right around $10K. All proceeds go to C.S. Mott Children's hospital.Lord Dark Helmet wrote:Waiting on the proceeds raised by the jersey auctions before I can get you a total for the 2018 USA Hockey Star Wars night but in my discussions so far with the representative, he mentioned that the $33K we showed for last year is actually the total over the last four years. He said that they just recently achieved $40K in the fifth year. Not sure if that was understood in your accounting and you were just catching up with that but I didn’t want anyone expecting another $30K+ this year. Sorry to be a downer.![]()
I’ll get you total when he sends it.
Well done to all troopers, rebels and Mandos that attended this event!

Re: Michigan 501st - CHARITY HISTORY
I am pleased to announced we helped raise $107,749.16 for charity in 2018.
$8,362.66 Direct Donations (Donations received directly for our appearance at an event, eg Birthday Party)
$99,386.50 Indirect Donations (Donations received indirectly at events we have attended, but not the main reason for an event, eg Charity Walks)
Below is the breakdown of the donations tracking document.
Again, as in previous years, I noticed that there are a lot of events where the host said they would make a donation, but we never heard back from them. This may not necessarily mean they didn't donate, but unfortunately I cannot add a donation amount if I don't get feedback from the event co-coordinator.
Therefore, if you coordinate a charity event or you receive a charity donation for our appearance, please let me know the donation amount, charity supported and also any other relevant information.
Thank you everyone who helped raise money to all the charities we supported last year.
Keep up the good work, raising money and supporting charities for 2019
If there are any events that I have missed, please let me know ASAP.
Update: $50 donation for Rockford United Methodist Church Hand2Hand was made from the Rockford Birthday party event on 12/08/18.

I saw DSG post this on Facebook. Maybe one of our members that are talented at graphic design, could come up with something like it? I'm sure the membership that's proud of our charity efforts would want to share a post like this on social media.
