The last I saw of the discussion was that it's strongly being considered for membership, but my two cents don't count anymore.

So I have seen some concept art with Barriss that possibly she might make an appearance in the new SW Rebels series. I am trying to find out more as to whether or not she will actually be in the series...Staying hopeful!!
