TK Helmet Lens Fitting Help

Post by ARC98 »

I'm sorry to flood this forum with questions, but I'm lost on lens mounting. I've looked around on white armor, and I tried following a tutorial for using bolts, but unfortunately, the glue wasn't strong enough and now I have an ugly mess in my bucket and no idea what to do next. I took some pictures of what the lens looked like.
The gap was ultimately unavoidable and looked terrible. Asking around white armor, it seems like everyone did the bolt method and told me to just keep attempting it, but I'm wasting a lot of money and time trying to get it to work, not to mention I'm frustrated and on the verge of just giving up, as I have a whole commission to try and fix after the helmet. I guess I'd just like to hear what method you guys used, thank you.

Post a pic of how the inside looks. There's usually ways to fiddle around with lens placement to get them closer to the eye openings.

I ended up just scrapping the method I was using and sanded all the glue off. I ordered some green premade lenses from a seller on Etsy. Thanks for the response.
