I just repainted my Royal Guard helmet and want to keep that fresh out-of-the-academy shine to the helmet. Someone suggested using an automotive wax.
Anyone got any ideas or thoughts?

Not sure what type of paint you used, however I would not polish it if you just painted it. You need to let the paint harden; give it at least a month before applying any type of wax. Dan provoski would know more about this than me, but I think he would agree.

Did you apply a clear coat to it? That will help keep it all shiny... I've always liked "Mother's" wax products and there web site has a lot of info on there product's.

Yes, quite a few coats to be exact. I'll see how it holds us with just the paint and clear coat on it.jabba974 wrote:Did you apply a clear coat to it?
Now just have to figure out how to attach the visor...
