Amanda Raimondo has been a fan of Star Wars since the first time she saw The Empire Strikes Back on the big screen. Empire also happens to be her favorite of the movies and that was the main reason that she chose to do a Snowtrooper costume.

Amanda's favorite event so far as a member was the 2009 West Michigan Whitecaps' Star Wars Night- her first event. Amanda says that joining the 501st has changed her life because of "the people that we met, it's feels as if our family has expanded". Amanda says that her inspiration for joining the 501st was her love of Star Wars and also seeing the reaction the kids have when they are around the 501st in action.

Outside of the Legion, "Sno-e," as some of us have come to call her, is a retail manager (Set Execution Supervisor) for the last 22 years and counting. Amanda also put herself through art school with a double major in photography and illustration and was successful at one time with her artwork. Due to certain life changes her artwork has taken the backseat but "I have been waiting for [her husband] 'Pesci' to finish our new office so I can have an art studio again."

In her personal life, Amanda is married to Dave "Pesci" Raimondo (TB 8789) and loves to read and draw. "Pesci has been begging me to start some illustrations of Star Wars. so I guess when I do start to draw again, It will probably be something from Hoth."
